45% new French oak Unfined and unfiltered pH 3.7 (80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese On the nose this blend has a profusion of violets and cassis with hints of cedar and leather adding to it. Bright and elegant on the palate, there is a succession of currants and raspberry fruit accented with toasty cedar overtones. Well integrated and balanced the flavors last well into the very long finish, supported by round tannins. This wine is very enjoyable now but also will show rewards from aging. A great pairing with heartier foods, grilled entrees, aged and ripe cheeses. $20.00 |

30% new French oak pH 3.6 80% Cabernet, 20% Merlot A classic California Cabernet that truly expresses the terroir that Paso Robles Cabernet is known for due to our organic farming and a great vineyard that is one of the oldest and most famous in the area. It's varietally expressive nose has hints of dark chocolate, spices, cassis and smoked cedar. On the palate there are currants, wild raspberries, Provencál herbs and well integrated oak. It has the power one expects from Paso Robles Cabernet with the elegance and balance that Casa Barranca wines are known for. Firm and ripe it's immediately appealing and will continue to evolve for several years. 72% Syrah, 16% Mourvèdre, 12% Grenache Deep ruby purple color with ripe raspberries, spice and blueberries on the nose. This classic southern Rhone style blend offers great balance and layers of flavor. On the palate, the berries and spice combine into a delicious melange of flavors with hints of plum and black pepper that last well into the finish. Delicious now on its own, it is also a great foil for barbecued meats and fowl, hard cheeses and hearty vegetarian fare. 20% New French oak Unfined, unfiltered & vegan pH 3.6 Santa Barbara County Our first Grenache is light ruby with brick overtones in color and has strawberries, rhubarb and hints of leather in the nose. Ripe forward fruit with mulberry, cardamom, tea leaves and bits of leather on the first sip, it's medium body is belied by the depth and melange of flavors that make it seem richer than it is. The flavors meld into a long finish with strawberry and Dutch cocoa lingering on the palate balanced by soft tannins and grapey acids. Grenache is a fun, delicious and very versatile varietal as shown by this wine. It's wonderful on it's own, it pairs very well with hard cheeses, earthy stews, grilled foods including salmon and tuna, fowl, red meats, vegetables and tofu and it's a great foil for lighter red sauce on pasta. 45% new French oak Unfined and unfiltered pH 3.7 Arroyo Grande, Laetitia Vineyards Laetitia Vineyard in Arroyo Grande has been farming organically with no pesticides or herbicides for many years and will be certified organic next vintage. Aromas of ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit dominate the nose. On the palate, the concentrated raspberry and cherry fruit are mouth filling with great depth of flavor extending into a long finish with hints of vanilla and toasty oak. Very much in the Burgundian mode, this dark garnet colored Pinot can be paired with almost any dish, from grilled vegetables, grilled salmon or seared ahi to pasta and a wide array of cheese. This cuvee' is a blend of clones 667 and 115 which contribute greatly to it's complexity. $28.00 |
